Review: L'Oreal Paris 24hr Infallible Eye Shadow

Hey ya'll!
I hope everyone is having a great Friday! I know I am!
This time I'm going to review the L'Oreal Paris 24hr Infallible eye shadow that I've also been using since February of this year. These shadows are pretty awesome! The packaging boasts that they're water-proof, smudge and crease proof and that they'll last up to 24 hours! They're pretty much right! I've really loved being able to create some great looks with these and know that once I put it where I want it, it's not going ANYWHERE! The colors are gorgeous, highly pigmented and they go on so smooth! They come in .12 oz plastic pots for about 7.99 each. You can get them on L'Oreal's site which, I will link to at the bottom of the page or, you can get them from Wal-Mart or just about any other major retail store or drug store. There are 12 shades available but, I'm only going to tell you about the 7 that I have right now.

333 Golden Sage - This one is a beautiful sage green! It is super metallic and packed full of golden shimmer! Looks great with brown eyes like mine but, I'm sure it would be a great color for just about everyone!

555 Perpetual Purple - One of the prettiest royal purples I have ever seen! It's super saturated and majorly metallic! I can see tons of pink shimmer and hints of blue shimmer while looking at it in the light. This one is a very dark/bold color so, it's very versatile! You can use it sparingly for an everyday look or really go for it and be dramatic! I love it!

890 Bronzed Taupe - The name speaks for itself! Just a gorgeous metallic taupe! It looks a little darker than a fresh bronze statue! It's very metallic with gold and rose shimmer.

891 Continuous Cocoa - An almost matte, very very dark brown. I would say that it's nearly black or the color of a dark roasted coffee bean. It's very pretty and would be usable by just about everyone.

899 Endless Pearl - A nude, almost matte color. It works very well as a highlighter. You can go very light with this one or layer it for a brighter effect.

997 Eternal Sunshine - One of my faves!!! It's an absolutely gorgeous gold! Super-saturated color packed with metallic shimmer! It's very reflective and brings out golden tones in my eyes. This color would be good for everyone! I use this color almost every day as a base or a highlighter! It's so versatile!

999 Eternal Black - Amazing! That's the best word I can think of to describe this one! It's perfect for creating a dramatic look or a smokey eye. It's a true black but, it's so packed full of silver, pink and green shimmer that it will blow you away! You can go light with this one for an everyday look or layer it on and be really bold and dramatic! I absolutely love this one!

Ok, so those are all of the colors that I have so far. I'd really love to get a few more of them to try out. I'd recommend these for everyone! They're great products and since the price is so low, they're absolutely worth it! I will be doing tutorials with them and posting videos/pics so, keep checking back! If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave them below!

Review: Maybelline New York, Color Tattoo By Eyestudio, 24hr cream gel eyeshadow

Hi guys!
I'm working on several reviews today! So excited! I'm going to start out with the Maybelline New York, Color Tattoo By Eye Studio, 24hr cream gel eye shadows. I have been using these since I found them in February and I LOVE them! I have 8 of the 10 available colors and as soon as I can find the other 2 I will be purchasing them. These come in .14 oz glass pots. They glide on smoothly, don't cake up or flake when they're dry even after several hours of wear, will absolutely last for as long as you need to be looking beautiful and they don't feel heavy or uncomfortable. They have super-saturated color and blend well with other shadows. To top it off, they're relatively inexpensive! That's always a plus! You can get them online from Maybelline for about $6.99 each and I think it may have been about the same when I purchased them at Wal-Mart. These are also easy to use and I would recommend them for just about anyone. The colors are bold and intense so, you can create a ton of amazing looks.

Colors I have:
05 Too Cool - A very pretty and basic metallic white. Provides excellent coverage for either a base color or a highlight.

20 Painted Purple - This one is a medium shade of purple. Not too light, not too dark. It is metallic and as far as I can tell the shimmer in it is almost a hot pink. It can also be used as a base or highlight color.

25 Bad to the Bronze - Super reflective and perfectly pigmented! This is one of my faves! It looks like a fresh bronze statue. It is oh so metallic and would be a perfect color for just about every skin tone!

30 Pomegranate Punk - This is a beautiful deep rose color with gold metallic flakes. It does go on very dark and dramatic. For myself, I try to be very careful with it or, I think I look scary. This is one that you're just gonna have to try for yourself as I don't think it's for everyone. I am still happy with it though!

35 Tough as Taupe - A straight to the point almost matte taupe. It's very pretty! Has just the smallest amount of metallic shine. Goes on beautifully for either a base or a highlight.

40 Tenacious Teal - Wow!!! That's all I can say! This one is my favorite and I LOVE it!!! It is just the most beautiful and intense aqua/teal color I have ever used. It is super bright and full of silver metallic. I love to use this with a beautiful gold and black to really make my brown eyes brighter! I think that I will do either a video or a picture tutorial with this color. The picture on Maybelline's website with this color is amazing also. It really makes the models blue eyes come to life. I will link to their site below.

45 Bold Gold - Finally, a true golden color! It's just beautiful! Very shinny and bright! Super-saturated gold with tons of reflective metallic! To me, it seems that the metallic in it may be shades of rose, green and gold. It just depends on how you look at it in the light. I do love this shade and it looks excellent with dark brown eyes, like mine, and I think it would look great on just about everyone!

50 Edgy Emerald - This one is an amazing light green with a lot of darker green metallic! It's absolutely gorgeous but, to me, it seems more like a darker jade color. It looks amazing with brown eyes also and can be used for either a base or a highlight.

Colors I don't have:
10 Fierce and Tangy - This one is an amazing orange color! They're always sold out when I try to go buy it and they're even sold out online right now! :( I will get it one of these days! I hope!

15 Audacious Asphalt - I think this one is a darker gray or charcoal color. I'd really love to have it also but, once again, they're always sold out when I go to check. I think it's in-stock on Maybelline's site so, I may go order it.

Well, there you have it. That's my review of the new Color Tattoo shadows by Maybelline. All in all, they're amazing and I would recommend them to everyone! You get more than what you pay for as far as I am concerned! Excellent quality and a good amount of product. Also, before I forget, these can be applied with either your finger or a makeup brush. They do not do well with the sponge tipped applicators if you ask me. I hope ya'll enjoyed this review! There's plenty more to come and I really can't wait to get pictures/videos and tutorials up! Thanks for taking the time to read this!

And here goes nothing!!! Or maybe, a BIG something!

Hey ya'll!
Yep, that's right, I said "ya'll". I'm a southern girl, born and raised in North Alabama for almost all of my 31 years on this earth. Don't get me wrong, I have gotten out of here and traveled, seen new and exciting things but, Alabama is and always will be HOME!
Now, on to more important things. I'm starting this blog because I want to put myself out into the world. I want to meet new people, experience new things, offer advice and opinions and receive the advice and opinions of my peers.
I have an associates degree in nursing but, for the last 3 years, I have been a stay at home mother to my 2 beautiful angels. In the last year I've gone through a divorce and met the most amazing man on the face of the planet! Through all of the changes and struggles I've decided what's important for my family and myself is that no matter what, we are going to live happily and never waste another second on the things that don't matter.
Also, during the last year, I have rekindled my love affair with all things beauty/fashion! In my younger years I was one of the most "prissy" girls you'd find. I wouldn't even go to the mail box without having my makeup and hair just right. If there was a new beauty product I thought I couldn't live without, I'd blow my allowance or paycheck on it! My friends always wanted me to fix their hair, do their makeup or help them pick out new products for themselves. I was headed for a career in cosmetology when my mother was diagnosed with cancer. I was 20 when she passed away. It was then that I decided to go into nursing. Fast-forward a few years, 2 kids and a failed marriage later... beauty went out the window a long time ago. Well, guess what... it's back! I've learned that no matter what, if you feel like you look good, you feel good and it only takes a few simple steps to accentuate the beauty in each of us. I do believe however, that true beauty starts within a person.
If you've stuck with me this far, thank you! You're gonna be in for an interesting journey! I plan on doing tutorials, reviews, rants and raves, who knows! I'm just excited to be able to help others and to be back to doing something that I love and that makes me feel good about myself.
Ok, enough rambling, tomorrow is going to be a busy and exciting day! I'm going to do my first review of some of the new products that I have been trying out lately!
Good night and sweet dreams!
